What does it mean to embody knowledge through walking? How can movement contribute to research? How can a leisurely stroll or a determined stride encourage different kinds of attention?
Through a guided walk in the city, unravel the different strands of the everyday. As you survey your surroundings, focus on three themes: empowerment in public spaces, the politics of ‘useless’ things, and narratives around discards, dirt and residue. Then experiment with different means of documentation and archiving, engaging with multisensory ways of witnessing and knowing the city and its ever-changing memory.
This session is free, and all materials are provided.
